Ask how your appointment will work

Before the session, confirm the service, time, fee and connection instructions with Tayo. If you are joining from outside Sydney, check the time zone as well so that you both have the same appointment time in mind.

Online appointments may differ from in-person visits in their practical format. Ask Tayo to explain how your chosen session will be adapted, what you need available and how to reconnect if the connection is interrupted.

Choose a setting that works for you

A quiet place where you feel comfortable talking may make the experience easier. You do not need a specially designed room. A familiar corner with a comfortable place to sit can be a useful starting point.

Depending on the arrangements Tayo confirms, these optional steps may help:

  • Let others in your household know you would appreciate some uninterrupted time.
  • Charge the device you plan to use and check the connection beforehand.
  • Have the appointment instructions and Tayo’s contact details within reach.
  • Reduce distracting notifications if you feel comfortable doing so.

Make room for your questions

You can bring the same questions about comfort, preferences and the session process that you would bring to an in-person appointment. If something about joining remotely concerns you, raise it before booking.

Tayo’s approach allows for people who arrive with a clear intention and those who are still finding the words. The aim of preparing your space is simply to make it easier to participate, without adding pressure to your day.
